Our clients come to us with their hopes and dreams for a ship that will meet their specific needs. Our task is to take those dreams and combine them with experienced, knowledgeable design to create a vessel that will exceed their expectations. Safety, performance, and comfort are key factors in the design. Working closely with the client ensures that the vessel reflects their personal choices as well as including the most technologically advanced design features. Our team of design professionals will be happy to meet with you to learn your requirements and evaluate how best to bring together your needs and our skills to give you the vessel of your dreams.

Once your design is under way, we can assist you in the selection of a builder, and supervise construction of your vessel until launch. Also available is model testing of the design to confirm desired parameters, such as sea keeping abilities, speed and powering requirements. After launch, sea trial supervision and testing to confirm stability parameters are also available.

Designing boats has never been an exact science-it still contains a bit of art and magic blended with the technology. To confirm that the blend of art and science are working the way they should, much of our work is tested with both open water and test tank model tests. Scrutinized and evaluated, the vessel is put through its paces at the model stage to ensure optimum performance once built and to avoid potential disappointments. Once the results are in, the design is optimized, and construction of the vessel can proceed with total confidence.

This 42M Explorer Motoryacht is a stylish new extension to our offshore ocean series.

Under development this year, our 42M hull form has taken on a whole new look as a motoryacht. Continuing with our super-fuel efficient hull technology, this vessel outperforms the competition with 30% fuel savings at optimum cruising speed. Powered by two 1000hp main engines, and with a 5000 mile range, we're making waves in the industry by not making waves under way! This level of performance lowers the carbon footprint of this yacht significantly; and the environmental impact can be reduced even further by careful material selection in the building stage. Our newest vessel is designed to not only land a helicopter on deck but hangar it too!

 
 

It's not unusual to be able to land a helicopter on a 42M yacht. It is, however, more of a challenge to provide a below-decks hangar without folding the rotor blades and still have landing space for your buddy to drop by too. That was the design brief for this exceptional vessel, one which showcases a comfortable and spacious interior as well as providing it's owner with room for all his really cool toys. And as ever, we've continued to push performance boundaries, utilizing our fuel-efficient technology to provide increased space in the interior for far more than just additional fuel storage.

 

42M Explorer "Neonemo"

Created with exceptional styling by Ken Freivokh, this super fuel efficient, semi-displacement hull form by Bray Yacht Design And Research has been extensively tank tested to ensure superior seakeeping and powering characteristics. It is a conically projected, double chined hull with wide spray knocker and flared bow. The hull is longitudinally framed for maximum strength and ease of construction.

Advanced technology appendages, including a bulbous bow, midship bulbs, stern bulb, fixed/active stabilizers, and a bi-foil under each CP propeller, are the features that make this vessel unique. In addition to exceptional fuel economy, over 35% better than most, these features give the vessel superior seakeeping ability as well as double the range of stability of other vessels. This vessel has in excess of a Trans-Atlantic range at 14 knot cruise as well as being capable of higher semi-displacement speeds for fast local cruising.

This super fuel efficient, semi-displacement hull form has been extensively tank tested to ensure superior seakeeping and powering characteristics. Ocean Explorer 135

There has been considerable interest in this 135 ft. long-range motoryacht designed for a client with a passion for diving. It is an update to the owner’s current somewhat smaller yacht, replacing it for trips from Louisiana south to the Caribbean and on down to Belize. The vessel will have an 18 knots cruise speed, 3000 mile range, and will be built in aluminium.
